bio
Brad Brock's
music is a reflection of a life dancing between joy and misery. As a
singer/songwriter, he explores love, hardship, and self-reflection as the music
takes you on a journey through stories, questions, and feelings. Influenced by
such great modern artists as the Counting Crows, the Wallflowers, Hootie &
the Blowfish, John Mayer, and Eric Clapton, Brad Brock's writing style is
beautifully arranged into songs that are easy to relate to and are virally
catchy. In 2005, Brad self-produced his first record, Broke 'n Broken. The mood
of the record mirrored Brad's life which was riddled with troubles, questions,
heartache, and love. It was a difficult time for him and the album gives
beautifully arranged insight into his life. Brock achieved great local success
with his record, which he produced in his home studio and packaged by hand using
his home computer, printer, shrink-wrap, and a hairdryer. He sold over 500
copies on his own until he decided to move in a different direction.
In 2007, Brad Brock decided he wanted to move away from his
country-rock roots to a more adult-alternative style. He began writing and
recording new material for his upcoming release, "Welcome To
Hollywood". Tracks such as "Eleven", "Happy Birthday",
and "The Artist" truly reveal the growth and versatility of Brad's
writing. The mood of his music has become much more positive and has rightfully
began a new chapter is Brad's life. The new record will be completed in May 2008
and be available soon there after. Brad Brock is a dynamic artist and is a force
to be reckoned with. Be prepared to see him everywhere...
